It has been a long time since I posted my Senior Poster. I had to revamp the blog a little bit so it would look more decent.

It it almost near and school is almost out!
Last year ago, when I was a sophomore, I went to go to visit a company for a career exploration visit called KQED, a nonprofit organization. This year however, I was to visit a corporation named Mekanism. They are a media based company who focus on creative story-telling when creating their projects. When we got to the location of Mekanism in San Francisco, all I saw were a bunch of old brick buildings. I was actually surprised that when I got inside the building of the corporation that the interior of the building was modernly built. Not only was the interior modern, It look like a home, with comfortable sofas and love seats, televisions with game consoles, and even mini fridges with food in them. The building consisted of three stories, and the first one had a design that made it look similar to the DSA lab back in Mt. Diablo High School.I witnessed that not all the workers worked on their desk but on the couches and other tables. This place made me feel like I should work in a place like this but then I would also know that there is more work involved here too.
This visit made me think more about the media industry itself and the different experiences that I could have in the multimedia field. One of the most interesting things I learned is that there are special jobs that I didn’t think that had to do with the media industry, such as the people that make business with clients, even though they are not well at producing or creative, despite them being in a multimedia workplace. An example to what I am saying is, the CEO of Mekanism, Jason Harris, doesn’t do anything that involves the creative work but handles the business aspect of the company and handles the clients. Secondly, The corporation uses some programs like Final Cut Pro, just what the DSA uses too, to produce some of their work. Lastly, It was really weird that some of the employees who work at the company doesn’t like advertisement in their daily lives despite them making them for their client, but they do like media, so they work in the areas of website coding and other ideas to bring the media to the public.
Overall, I learned a lot more about the media industry and I would like to go on another visit. I really would like to be able to interact in the future companies instead of just watching their work. I think that if there were different activities involved, our minds would also be much more involved. I want to see a before, during and after of a project, to witness how employees show us a variety of the programs they use, and maybe give us tips to share with us on how they got their jobs. I really do think these visits help my minds think of what we really want to do with our future and by this time we really do need as much help as we can.
This is the silent video I have made in school with my team mates in class.

Today is the last day of my sophomore year! There’s practically no one here and most people are just walking around campus and stuff. Well I wasn’t planning to come to school today but I had changes in plan. I might have to learn how to drive soon so when I get an Internship, I can drive there! Well I got to say goodbye to sophomore year DSA and welcome junior year DSA!
When I presented, I was nervous, and my legs were shaking from nervousness. I think I went ok, even though I froze and didn’t help Dat out with the questions
